In this article I am going to offer you 2 strategies that you can use to play blackjack.  The game of blackjack is one of the most popular casino games.  Thus, I suggest that you learn these 2 simple blackjack strategies.

The first backjack strategy is what I call "the basic" blackjack strategy.  You should note, however, that as a long term strategy this blackjack strategy will not allow you to beat the house but in the short term although it does enhance your odds considerably.

Blackjack strategy #1:  H=Hit, S=Stand, D=Double down, SP=Split

Rule #1 is that whenever you have a pair of aces in the first two cards you should always split the pair.  By doing this, you have the opportunity to obtain a blackjack on one or both of the Aces.

Many land based casino allow the players to split aces and then take a hit after the split.  So do many of the online casinos. 

Do not use rule #1 if you are not able to take another hit on the cards after the split. 

Rule #2 is that you should not stand on a hard 12, even if the dealer has a face card showing.  The reason for this rule is that the dealer will often lose when the dealer hits 16 or less.

Blackjack strategy #2:  Doubling Down If The Casino Allows It

If any casino, either land based or online, offers you the opportunity to double down on any 2 cards, then be sure to double down.  This rule is one of the best rules that favors the player over the house.

Some casinos only allow you to double down when you have a 10 or 11 total.  Do so!

If after receiving your first 2 cards you are given the chance to double your bets and to receive 1 more card, do so.  The following situations will give you the opportunity to double down:

a)  you have a total of 10 versus dealer showing a 9
b)  you have a total of 11 versus dealer showing a 10
c)  you have a total of anything versus dealer showing a 2 to 6.

If the above occur, then the dealer is at his/her weakest and you at you are at your strongest.  More often than not, you will come out winning the game of blackjack.
